Migliana

Migliana is a small Tuscan village, in the heart of the Val di Bisenzio, which has its roots in Roman times, later experiencing Lombard domination and in the Middle Ages becoming a small center of the properties of the Alberti Counts. Perfect for horseback excursions or to taste delicious specialties, such as necci (chestnut flour fritters) or chocolate or almond cantuccini, Migliana is also at the center of a legend with many versions: the ruins of the Migliana castle seem in fact linked to a love with a tragic ending, even if the various versions disagree on the epilogue.
